Empowering the Future of the Diaspora
Who we are
Chi Chi's Young Minds CIC is a growing Initiative for working class students. It is a project for schools and colleges to advance, encourage and promote mental wellbeing, opportunities in the corporate world and bridging the gap with diverse talent.
The programme was developed by Chinaenye Jasmine Okoye, a graduate from a working class background who established this initiative off her catering company of 4 years. Tackling the lack of opportunity, mental health and academic struggles

Where it all started
Born from Nigerian Immigrants, Jasmine was born and raised in Walthamstow, East London. After moving homes 4 times before reaching the age of 10, Jasmine’s family were able to find stability in south-east London where she now calls home. After completing her GCSEs & A-Levels, she graduated from University in Business Management through a prestigious scholarship by Pearson. Ever the budding entrepreneur, Jasmine set up a catering company called Chi Chi’s Kitchen in 2018 which has since grown in popularity over the years. As a way to start giving back, Jasmine has founded Chi Chi’s Young Minds, a CIC company geared towards nurturing the next generation.
